Hon. Bismark Tawiah Boateng Ends an Emotionally Charged Saturday at Okorase Junction 8

It was a day that truly tested the strength, empathy, and endurance of leadership — yet Hon. Bismark Tawiah Boateng once again demonstrated why he remains one of the most respected figures within the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Eastern Region.
On this emotionally charged Saturday, Hon. Boateng embarked on a demanding but heartfelt journey across multiple constituencies, attending more than four funeral ceremonies — each representing a deep connection to party members, grassroots supporters, and friends of the NDC.
His day began at New Juaben North, where he joined mourners at the funeral of the Constituency Deputy Communications Officer’s mother, offering his condolences and words of comfort to the grieving family. From there, he proceeded to Fanteakwa South, to stand in solidarity with colleagues and sympathizers at the burial of the District Chief Executive’s late mother, a respected matriarch remembered for her generosity and community spirit.
His third stop took him to Atiwa West, where he attended the funeral of the Constituency Women’s Organiser, Mad. Joyce Kyerewaa Adom a.k.a Woman showing once again his commitment to the welfare and emotional wellbeing of NDC members at all levels. At each of these events, Hon. Boateng was warmly received by party faithful and community leaders who commended his humility, accessibility, and devotion to strengthening unity within the NDC.
The day’s journey reached its most emotional point at Okorase Junction 8, in the Akuapem North Constituency, where Hon. Boateng joined scores of mourners to console Hon. Ernest Adom Dikoh on the passing of his beloved mother, the late Madam Anna Lucas.
At Okorase Junction 8, the atmosphere was filled with solemn reflection and deep emotion. Hon. Boateng, in his usual calm and dignified manner, extended his condolences personally to Hon. Dikoh and his family, describing the late Madam Lucas as “a mother whose legacy lives on through the life of her son and the impact he continues to make in the party and community.”
He used the opportunity to highlight the importance of compassion and unity within the NDC, stressing that leadership is not only about political achievements but also about being present for others in their moments of grief and need.
His attendance at four funerals in a single day accentuated his relentless commitment to service and solidarity. Many who witnessed his movement across constituencies described him as a true servant leader — one who leads not from a distance, but from within the community, sharing in both the joys and sorrows of his people.
As the sun set at Okorase Junction 8, Hon. Bismark Tawiah Boateng’s presence stood as a testament to the kind of leadership the NDC continues to nurture — leadership rooted in humanity, humility, and genuine love for the party and its people.
