By Edwin Kobina Amoquandoh

In a strategic move to solidify its base ahead of the 2024 elections, the NDC Akropong Constituency embarked on a comprehensive branch profiling exercise over two significant days. The first phase kicked off on the 22nd of August 2024 at the Tinkong Methodist Church in the Lower Hills, followed by the second phase today, the 23rd of August 2024, at the Apostolic Church of Ghana in Mamfe, located in the Upper Hills. These sessions, meticulously organized by the Constituency Organizer, Ernest Adom Dikoh, alongside his deputy, Matthew Antwi, focused on rallying branch leaders and equipping them with vital tools for effective grassroots mobilization.

During the sessions, Ernest Adom Dikoh eloquently outlined the purpose of the gathering, emphasizing the importance of a well-organized grassroots structure in securing electoral victory. A roll call was conducted to identify representatives from each polling station, ensuring all branches were adequately represented.

The workshop was graced by prominent constituency executives, including Chairman Daniel Awere, Secretary Isaac Batsa Hamillin, Deputy Women Organizer, Praise Ababio Fiati, Communications Officer Bawa Aminu Sumaila, Youth organizer Ahmed Agbenyadzi, among others. The presence of former Constituency Chairman Phillip Okra (OPK) further highlighted the importance of the event, underscoring the NDC's commitment to reclaiming the parliamentary seat.

Training was a key component of the workshop, with IT Director Ivan Akuffo leading the charge, imparting essential skills to the trainees. Regional IT Director Atenas Frederick Kofi supplemented the training with additional insights, preparing the attendees to excel in their roles.

Concluding the workshop, Chairman Daniel Awere shared strategic insights on capturing the MP seat, a goal the NDC has narrowly missed for years. With this renewed focus and the dedicated efforts of its grassroots leaders, the NDC Akropong Constituency is poised to make significant strides in the upcoming elections.

Well done!
