Day 2 of the Phase 3 Community Engagement and Retail Campaign by the NDC in Akuapem North unfolded with great enthusiasm and dedication on 12th November 2024. This campaign, led by the Parliamentary Candidate, Hon. John Evans Kumordzi, and supporting presidential candidate John Dramani Mahama, aimed to foster connections and communicate the party’s vision directly to the constituents.

The day's efforts were bolstered by the presence of key figures, including Constituency Chairman Daniel Awere, Deputy Women's Organiser Praise Ababio Fiati, and Constituency Organiser, Ernest Adom Dikoh. The Youth Organiser Hon. Ahmed Agbenyadzi and his deputy George Oduro Junior added their voices and energy to the cause, alongside members of the NDC-affiliated Assembly Members caucus. Communications Officer Bawa Aminu Sumaila, his deputy Jacob Ganyo, Deputy Treasurer Kingsford Kalefe and other constituency executives also joined in full force.

The day’s schedule began at Tinkong School Park, where the team met with teachers and students participating in the sub-zone inter-school sports competitions. Demonstrating the party’s support for youth and community activities, Hon. John Evans Kumordzi and his team made a donation of cash and items to aid the ongoing games. This gesture was well-received, highlighting the NDC’s commitment to nurturing local talents and promoting education.

After the stop at Tinkong School Park, the team continued to Asempaneye, engaging with residents and listening to their concerns. The campaign’s next destinations were Appau and Abɛase, where the team connected with vibrant and receptive communities. Each interaction reaffirmed the collective resolve for a future marked by better governance and opportunities for all.

The day concluded back at Tinkong, where the “Akuapem Must Know” series took place. This segment aimed to inform constituents about the governance issues under the NPP and outline the NDC’s proposed solutions for efficient and inclusive leadership. The discussions were candid and engaging, leaving participants more aware of the choices ahead and invigorated to support the change they wish to see.

Day 2 of the Phase 3 campaign was a testament to the NDC’s dedication to community-centric politics and meaningful dialogue. With every interaction, the momentum for the December 7th elections continues to build, promising a brighter path for Akuapem North.
