October of Gratitude: The Akuapem North Constituency’s Branch Thank-You Tour

By Edwin Kobina Amoquandoh

On Thursday, 2nd October 2025, the Akuapem North Constituency witnessed the rapid fulfillment of a pledge made less than a month earlier. During the National Chairman’s Visit, the Constituency Chairman, Hon. Daniel Awere, vowed that the month of October would be devoted to the branches in recognition of their tireless sacrifices and loyalty. Staying true to his commitment, he inaugurated October as the Month of Appreciation by launching the Constituency’s Thank-You Tour.

The tour commenced at exactly 1:00 p.m. in Konko, where the branch executives of both Konko and Timber Nkwanta gathered together for the opening session. These two communities, long celebrated for their energetic political participation and steadfast activism, provided a spirited beginning to the journey of recognition and renewal.

From Konko, the tour proceeded to the next destination in Tinkong, where Hon. Awere and his delegation expressed gratitude and engaged the executives on pressing matters confronting the branches. Tinkong highlighted the importance of grassroots dialogue as the foundation of effective leadership.

The third stop was at Okorase, where the Okorase Methodist School hosted the complete branch executive body of the Okorase Zone. This marked the day’s most comprehensive gathering, bringing together diverse voices and reaffirming the indispensable role of the grassroots in shaping the constituency’s political strength.

At every stage, Hon. Awere reminded his audience that political victory is never the work of leadership alone, but the product of the commitment and sacrifices of branch executives across communities. His fulfillment of a recent undertaking was more than symbolic—it was a demonstration of accountability and respect for the party’s base.

The tour was dignified by the presence of distinguished constituency leaders: Baba Tunde, Vice Chairman; Hon. Isaac Batsa Hamlin, Secretary; Hon. Ahmed Agbenyadzi, YEA Director, Akuapem North; OPK; Janet Okyerewa Addo, Women’s Organiser; Matthew Antwi, Deputy organiser; Banahene, Treasurer; and Kingsford Kalefe, Deputy Treasurer. Alongside them were other constituency executives, including Oduro Junior, Deputy Youth organiser, Hayford , Shadrick Obeng Ampofo, Mr. Odoom, and others, whose presence underscored not only solidarity but also the broad leadership that sustains the constituency’s organisational strength.

Konko, Timber Nkwanta, Tinkong, and Okorase were not just stops on a tour—they became emblems of remembrance, appreciation, and renewal for the Akuapem North Constituency.

The journey, however, does not end here. The next phase of the Constituency’s Thank-You Tour is scheduled for tomorrow, Friday, 3rd October 2025, at 2:00 p.m., with stops at Mamfe, Larteh, and Amanokrom. These visits promise to further deepen the spirit of unity and extend gratitude to the remaining branches whose dedication fuels the party’s collective progress.
