Prince Henry Koforidua (PHK): A Dedicated Servant of the NDC’s Vision in the Eastern Region

In every political tradition, true leadership is distinguished not only by victory at the polls but by unwavering commitment, resilience, and loyalty to the cause. In the Eastern Region of Ghana, one name consistently embodies these qualities—Prince Henry Koforidua (PHK). His long-standing dedication to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has earned him recognition as one of the party’s most dependable communicators and grassroots mobilizers.

For years, PHK has served the NDC with exceptional passion, tact, and professionalism. Whether engaging the public, articulating the party’s policy direction, or standing firmly in defense of its principles, his voice has resonated far beyond the Eastern Region, reaching national platforms and strengthening the party’s visibility and credibility. His contribution has not been limited to election seasons—his commitment has been continuous, deliberate, and selfless.

During the previous Regional Delegates Conference, when PHK contested for the position of Regional Communications Officer, the results did not fall in his favour. Yet in one of the purest demonstrations of party loyalty, he never withdrew into silence or bitterness. Instead, he intensified his efforts—defending the party, informing the public, and pushing the NDC’s narrative throughout the Eastern Region and the entire nation. It is rare to see a young leader accept defeat with such maturity, continue the work with even greater energy, and remain a pillar of support for the party’s mission. For many members, supporters, and observers, PHK’s resilience has proven his unmatched dedication.

As the NDC prepares for its next Regional Delegates Conference in the coming year, a renewed sense of hope surrounds his candidacy. Prince Henry Koforidua has once again put himself forward to contest for the Regional Communications Officer position—this time with an even stronger record of service, experience, and unwavering commitment. The grassroots, communicators, youth, and regional structures have seen his sacrifice first-hand. They have watched him carry the party’s message tirelessly, often at great personal cost. Many believe the time has finally come for the mantle to be handed to someone who has not only earned it but has already been living the mandate in practice.

PHK stands out for his consistency, his passion for party growth, his deep roots in the Eastern Region, and his professionalism. His work did not stop after defeat; instead, he intensified his engagement with the public and the media. With years of communication experience behind him, he brings both depth and skill to political messaging. Leadership in political communication requires clarity, commitment, depth, and courage, and PHK has demonstrated all these qualities—consistently and without hesitation.

As the Eastern Region heads toward another crucial conference, many voices across the party believe strongly that he has paid his dues, earned the trust of the base, and is ready to serve in an official capacity. He has suffered for the party. He has sacrificed for the party. And he has stood firm for the party. The next Regional Delegates Conference provides a historic opportunity for the NDC in the Eastern Region to acknowledge this unwavering dedication and empower him to do even more for the party he so deeply loves.

Prince Henry Koforidua is not just contesting; he is continuing a mission. And perhaps, this is the moment to finally hand him the mantle he has long worked for.
